The touch, texture, sound, color, energy and properties of stones has intrigued me all my life. From the granite pebbles found in the rivers of Colorado to the coal mines in England there has always been a charm, a magic, a calling.

I can't remember when I didn't love stones, beads, marbles, swishy things and a bit of sparkle. Over the years, and throughout my travels, I've collected unique and interesting amulets, hamsa, prayer boxes, baubles and stones simply because I liked them. Today, I use those wonderful discoveries to design and make jewelry.

Born in England, wanderlust struck at an early age and I've had the great fortune to be able to travel to far and exotic lands like Morocco, Brazil, Guatemala, Argentina, Uruguay, Bali, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, Korea, China, all of Europe, Croatia, Italy and Greece, to name just a few. A precious spot and dear to my heart are the small but magical Maldive Islands located on the Indian Ocean where the natives have fabulous, rich green eyes; and I purchased the lovely garnets I still use today. Throughout these travels I've continuously added to my collection of beautiful stones and artifacts. However, the four years spent living in Japan with my husband, not only had a most profound effect on my artwork but my entire life.

The desire to go further and learn about beads and stones has enriched my life in so many ways. I've learned some of the mysteries of ancient cultures and civilizations; their rituals, symbolism, customs, legends, religious ceremonies, and traditions. From the exciting process of procuring each bead, to the creation of each piece, it has become a passion; and sharing those creations with others is a delight.
